Risks to Banks in BOT Project Finance
There has been a recent increase in BOT project finance in an effort to meet the growing demand for infrastructure construction.The World Bank has estimated that China”s expenditures on infrastructure will rank top among all East Asian countries.Infrastructure construction uses project finance to get enough money.Banks,as the lender,play a very important role in BOT project finance.There are many risks associated with projects.Lenders must pay special attention to analyzing and managing risks.This paper analyzes the risks that banks face,elaborates how to resolve them and also a case is studied.
