Analysis on the Foreign Penetration into Chinese Banking Market

摘要：

This study arises from an interest in international banking and China”s entry of the WTO and its effects on the Chinese domestic banking system.This project intends to extend the work on the accounting decomposition of interest margins to analyse the effects of foreign entry on the operation of Chinese domestic banks in terms of the profitability,risk and operation.These results suggest that foreign bank entry improves domestic banking markets that decrease in profitability because of the growing competitive pressures,and improve in risk management.
