Studies on Contents of Endogenous Hormones in Different Tissues of Maize Infected by Rice black-streaked dwarf fijivirus

The disease caused by Rice black-streaked dwarf fijivirus (RBSDV) is one of the most important diseases in corn production in more than 10 provinces of China.Severe plant dwarfing, leaf greening, enations on the underside of the leaves, and distortion of the plants are the characteristic symptoms of the disease.A study was carried out to reveal the correlation of the symptoms and the level of endogenous hormones after infection by RBSDV in 2006 ~ 2008.In the study, three high-susceptible maize inbred lines of Ye 478,Yel07 and 5003 from Reid group were used and the artificial inoculation of RBSDV onto the seedlings through the virulent vectors of Laodelphax striatellus Fallen was made in greenhouse and screenhouse.
