Resistance Comparative Studies of hpRNAs Derived from the Viral Different Functional Genes
Post-transcriptional gene silencing was first discovered in plants,it was also called quelling in fungi or RNA interference (RNAi) in animals, all were named as RNAi.RNAi was the degradation of the homologous mRNA sequences in organisms induced by double-stranded RNA (dsRNA).The genomes of plant viruses usually contain several functional genes (such as the coat protein, replicase, and movement protein) that involve into the replication and infections of the viruses. In this paper,we constructed the different hairpin RNAs (hpRNAs) vectors derived from the different functional genes of Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) or Potato virus Y (PVY),and transformed them into E.coli HTll5.Induced by IPTG,we extracted different hpRNAs and analyzed their resistance to TMV or PVY.
