The Tensile Properties and Resistivity of N i-based Alloy Fiber

Nickel-copper based fibers with 0.11 mm and 0.10 mm diameter, respectively, were produced using a cold drawing process from a 1.0 mm diameter wire. The tensile properties and resistivity were analyzed in this study. The ultimate tensile strength was increased obviously after a cold drawing and the elongation of drawn fiber decreased significantly. The drawing process results in changing a ductile wire into a brittle fiber.Resistivity of fiber was higher than that of wire. However, the resistivity of the fiber decreased significantly after an annealing process. The effects of nickel-copper based fiber on the tensile properties and receptivity are obvious.
