Effection of A CE2/ACE axis on cardiac remodeling in a rat model of myocardial infarction-induced(MI)ischemic heart failure
Objectives There is evidence that the Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)can counterbalances ACE by breakdown of angiotensin(Ang)Ⅱ and formation of Ang(1-7).To assess the cardioprotection in the post-myocardial infarction(MI)heart,we treated adult male Sprague-Dawley rats with DIZE,a selective ACE2 inhibitor, and with captopril,an Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor(A-CEI),after permanent coronary artery ligation or sham operation.
