Research on An Innovative Seawater Desalination System Using Non-grid-connected Wind Power
an innovative seawater desalination system using large-scale non-grid-connected wind power is developed.It includes five major parts:non-grid-connected wind turbine,power convert system,control system,seawater desalination unit and pump units as electrical loads.The system directly couples wind power with the new seawater desalination plant.For wind power fluctuation and intermittent,the intelligent couple control and wind power cache technology are employed.Wind power,grid power and reserve power could be composed of wind power independence,wind/grid power intelligent coordination,wind/reserve power intelligent coordination and other power supply mode.The desalination plant is structured to fit into the cavity of the wind turbine tower to form a fully integrated system,which not only mitigates the pollution created by large on-shore seawater desalination plants concentrated in a single location but also changes the power transmission of offshore wind power farm into the freshwater transmission ashore.It will lead to significant cost reduction and present good business prospects in the world.
