Study of photopic negative response in amblyopia
Objective to analyze the clinical application value of Photopic Negative Response(PhNR)in amblyopia by comparing the normal and amblyopia of PhNR,exploring the pathogenesis of amblyopia.Methods PhNR were recorded and analyed form 60 normal eyes and 60 amblyopia eyes,by using red flashes on a blue background and white flashes on a white background respectively.Results(1)Amplitudes of PhNR in amblyopia were lower than those of the normal group,there was statistically significant differences between them.(2)latencies of PhNR in amblyopia were similar to normal group,there were no statistically significant differences between them.(3)In normal group,Amplitudes of PhNR of ≥ 12 year older age group were lower and latencies were longer compared with ＜ 12 years low group,there was statistically significant difference.Conclusions(1)Amplitudes of PhNR in amblyopia were lower than those of the normal group,the function of retinal ganglion cells of amblyopia is damaged.(2)Amplitudes of PhNR decread with age,there is a negative correlation between them,latencies of PhNR delayed with age,there is positive correlation between them,these suggesting that phNR significantly associated with age.
