Study on artificial breeding techniques of Takifugu flavidus in estuary area of Hangzhou Bay

Takifugu flavidus broodstocks artificially cultured reached sexual maturity in natural seawater of Hangzhou Bay estuary area.Excellent individuals were selected from the sexually mature broodstocks as parent fishes and induced to spawn.Fertilized eggs were obtained through artificial fertilization of semi-dry method.Yolk-sac larvae were hatched out within 100-120 h under conditions of aeration in still seawater and water temperature of 21 ℃-22 ℃.Total length of individual fry increased to 15mm after 25 days at water temperature of 24 ℃-25 ℃.Four batches(totally 18 groups)of inducing were carried out in 2004 and 12 groups in 2005.The results showed that the inducing rate was 94.4%,6.75 × 105 fertilized eggs were obtained,5.81 × 105 yolk-sac larvae were hatched,2.93 × 105 fingerlings were reared, the fertilizing rate was 70.2%,the hatching rate was 86.1% and the survival rate was 50.4% in 2004,and the inducing rate 83.3%,1.103 million fertilized eggs obtained,9.08 × 105 yolk-sac larvae hatched,4.96 × 105fingerlings produced, the fertilizing rate 77.5%,the hatching rate 82.3% and the survival rate 54.6% in 2005.It also indicated that there were no significant effects on hatching of fertilized eggs and fry rearing of Takifugu flavidus under conditions of salinity 15 and 25.
