Development and Evaluation of a New Diffusive Sampler forMeasurement of Indoor BTX Exposure
A simple and cost-effective diffusive sampler compatible with thermal desorption and GC-MS wasdeveloped and evaluated. The new sampler (Figure 1), which contains a stainless-steel powder sinteredmicroporous cylinder packed with molecular sieve as adsorbents, was used to collect benzene, toluene, m-, p-,o-xylene (BTX) by molecular diffusion. Through this process, it is easy to determine time-weighted average(TWA) concentration of BTX, which can reflect the long-term exposure to BTX.
