Musculoskeletal sonography:Evaluation of the carpal tunnel and median nerve
Carpal tunnel syndrome ( CTS) is a cumulative trauma disorder and has been attributed to a set of occupational illnesses that have grown wordwide,over the last 30years.Repetitive stress injuries such as CTS,now compose 70％ of occupational injuries.Theincidence If CTS has been reported tl effect 11,910 employees per year in the USA.High resolution sonography represents a non-invasive,non-ionizing diagnostic test that can be used to detect CTS. Further development If thescanning protocol and the use of Doppler can increase the sensitivity of detecting CTS acutely.
