DUPLEX FOLLOW-UP OF EVAR( Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair )
Endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) was introduced in the 1990s as a less invasive alternative to open surgical repair for abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) . There has been a 600% increase in EVAR procedures since 2000, and this now accounts for more than half of all AAA repairs. However, there are some complications that are unique to EVAR, including endoleaks, device migration, aneurysm sac expansion, access site complications, and rarely rupture. Therefore, long-term imaging follow-up is required after EVAR.
