Heat Transfer Prediction Using Global High-Order Accurate Algorithm in Hypersonic Flow Simulation
A high-order accurate algorithm, which comprises fifth-order weighted explicit nonlinear scheme WCNS-E-5 for the inviscid term of Navier-stokes equations, fourth-order accurate scheme for the viscous term, the corresponding fourth-order boundary scheme and fourth-order differential discretization for metrics and temperature derivative, is developed for the aerodynamic heating prediction in hypersonic flow. Several examples are solved to show the high-order performance. The flow field ensuring high-order accuracy everywhere seems remarkably resolving. Furthermore the heat transfer distributions herein by the global high-order accurate algorithm are more reliable than by second-order schemes.
