The Group-Decoupling Design of a Segment Erector based on GF Set Theory

The segment erector is a key part of the shield machine which holds, transports and locates the concrete segments to construct the tunnel support. A new innovative design method, the decomposition of motion groups, is proposed and a new type segment erector is invented. Firstly, the motions of the segment erector are decomposed into two groups. A new type synthesis method, the GF Set theory, is performed for the task decomposition. Many possible configurations are derived and a serial-parallel hybrid structure, which is a new configuration of (1T+1R+1PS&3UPS), is presented according to the requirement of segment erector.
