Tcaching inodern logic to students with little background in mathemaitcs is notoriously hard．The philosophy student．Adept at reading complex prose and composing artful essays is usually not well prepared for manip ulati ng symbols and constructing rigoous proofs of theorem．In my view，thin’c arc three skills that such a st udent inust acquire．
