Handling Safely Ethylene Oxide by operating outside the explosion limits during the Ethoxylation process.
This presentation covers the safety risks of handling ethylene oxide and the common sources of initiation causes fo an ethylene oxide decomposition during the operation in classical reactor systems without gas circulation or with insufficient gas circulation. An ethylene oxide vapor explosion in a closed reactor is capable of suppression by using an inert gas such as nitrogen if applied in the right concentration amount.
