INFLUENCE OF GLAZING TYPE AND WINDOW-TO-WALLRATIO oN ENERGY DEMAND IN CHINESE RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS
In this paper,the influence of glazing type andⅣindow to wall ratio on energ demand in Chinese residential buildings is discussed.Urumqi,Beijmg,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Kunming are chosen as l、pieal cities in different climate zones in China.After simulation’ith different glazing t、pes mid windo to wall ratio using the soflv,arc。’DesignBuilder die total ener93 demands of heating.cooling and lighting are compwed.Double LoE glazJng is prox+ed to be the most suitable glazing lpe in Urumqi. Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou. ’hile single reflect glazing is the best in Kunming.When the total 、、indm、’area on southern and northern wall is fixed.the optimum distribution of WWR is 40%on southern wall and I 5%on northern、、all in Urumqi.Beijing.Shanghai and Kunming,in Guangzhou the optimum ralue is 30%on southern wall and 3D%011 northern lIall.Compared ith basic model.“hen the optimum glazing I、pe and WWR are used in each city,the total energ)+demand of heating.cooling and lighting will be reduced b)34%in Urumqi.33%in Beijing.1 4%in Shanghai,4%in Guangzhou and 2%in Kunming.
