A Study of transient reactions of salol with nitrogen dioxide radical by pulse radiolysis
In this paper, the transient absorption spectra of salol with nitrogen dioxide radical were observied, and the nitrogen dioxide radical and peroxyl radicals of salol have been generated in aqueous solutions by pulse radiolysis using the linear accelerators. The salol phenoxyl radical was formed through electron transfer reaction. The rate constants of the transient reactions of salol with nitrogen dioxide radical has been determined to be 8.7×108mol -1 .dm3 .s –1 . The transient reaction produce the peroxyl radicals of salol.
