Comparative Study on Supply and Demand,and Rating Analysis of TV Mainstream Program between Mainland China and Taiwan
Since the 1960s, television variety show was brought to the viewer in Mainland China and Taiwan. The sense of visual and audio has made it un-resistible. The content of television variety program carry much of the cultural and social influences, either in positive or negative way. The exchange of television program can reduce the possible conflict between Mainland China and Taiwan, The previous research has showed that the television mainstream program viewing behavior is quite similar on the aspect of viewing amount, daily and yearly pattern, and main tastes of programs types (Huang, 2004).
