Preparation and characterization of MTO powders by ball milling process
MTO powders were prepared from solid-state reaction using stoichiometric SnO2(99.99%) and MgO(99.99%) powders by high-energy ball milling. The powder characteristics of MTO are systematically investigated via quantitative X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. XRD pattern confirmed the formation of SnO2 phases. The content of MgO plays an important role in unannealed MTO samples. The results showed mat the particle size and lattice strain of unannealed MTO samples were the function of content of MgO, but unchanged more after annealing of these structures.
