The Influence of Fabrication Process Variation on 3D Viewing Angle of Pattern Retarder Stereoscopic LCD
Based on a rigorous 3D crosstalk simulation model, this paper investigated the influence of fabrication process variation on 3D viewing angle of pattern retarder (PR) stereoscopic LCD. Both PR and passive glasses fabrication process were considered. By analyzing our simulation, we proposed two design concepts related to the retardation and orientation direction of FPR and glasses to enlarge 3D viewing angle. We believe that our research could give PR and passive glasses makers some guidance in real fabricating process.
