The natural freedom of the human person and the rule of law in the perspective of the Classical Roman legal theory
The purpose of my present contribution is to get a better understanding of the place that the individual,occupied in classical Roman law.In particular,I would like to consider this issue from the perspective of the technical term,”persona”which was,as we all know,extremely successful in western legal culture.I shall start with a famous definition:”Libertas est naturalis facultas elus quod cuiusque facere libet.”In English:”Freedom is one”s natural power of doing what one pleases” or:”Liberty denotes a mall’s natural abilitiy to do what he wants“.
