A Novel supermolecule Ag (I) Complex with Bis(N-methylbenzimidazolyl-2-ylmethyl)benzylamine
A V-shape ligands bis( N-methylbenzimidazol-2-ylmethyl )benzylamine L, has been prepared. Reaction of it with Ag(pic) (pic = picrate) afforded a novel complex, ”Ag2L22”(pic)2 * 2DMF 1. The crystal structure of complex was characterized X-ray crystallography. The complex consists of a centrosymmetric dinuclear pore canal structure assembled from two linearly coordinated Ag(I) ions and two ligands. In addition,π...π interactions and hydrogen bonds play an important part in steric configuration of the complex.
