1. State Religion; ConfucianismDuring the time of Chosun(朝鲜) Kingdom(1392-1910), the official state religion in Korea wasConfucianism. Before Chosun Kingdom, Korea”s state religion had been Buddhism underKokuryo(高句麗), Baekjae(百濟), Shilla(新羅) Kingdom and Koryo(高麗) Kingdom.A Revolt against the Buddhist Koryo Kingdom was organized by General Lee, Sung Gae. Andpower of Confucian revolutionary revolt was successful against the Buddhist state of Koryo(高麗)。It may be true to say that people”s fight to protest against the incapable King of Mangze(孟子) wasused to topple the Koryo Kingdom of Buddhism。
