Combined Treadmill and Swimming exercises attenuate cell death and enhance motor recovery in rats with focal cerebral ischemia

Objective Stroke is a major health problem in the current societies. Physical exercise is known to enhance motor recovery after stroke but the most appropriate types of exercise are unknown. This study investigated the effectiveness with various types on the motor recovery after stroke in rats.
