Advances in the Surgical Techniques for BPH-What Next?
Surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia continues to be one of the commonest operations performed by urologists. Realisation of the morbidities of the classical TURP, especially in the early published series, lead to the development of several generations of surgical alternatives claiming superiority. However, only a few technologies have withstood the sharp scrutiny of science and more importantly, the test of time, to be regarded as true alternatives.
