On Set and Order

摘要：

One of the fundamental issues in the design of CHL is how to relate sound and meaning. There are quite a number of proposals concerning this issue in both GB model and MP model, of which all can be schematized in the mathematic notions of set and order, represented as (1) and (2), respectively: (1) set <α, β> (2) order”α, β” No ordering relation between the two elements and is specified in (1), but a temporal linear order is fixed as it is in (2).
