Complement Construction of V-dao in Mandarin Chinese

摘要：

This paper aims to unify the complement construction of Verb-dao (V-dao) forms in Mandarin Chinese. According to the previous studies (Lü 1980, Liu 2007), V-dao construction is classified into three types: directional V-dao, phase V-dao, and extent V-dao. In these three types, dao may be a preposition, a verbal phase marker, and an extent marker, as shown in (1-3), respectively.
