Imbalance of the testosterone/estradiolratio promotes male CHD development
It is well established that men and women differ not only in baseline hormonal status, but also in the clinical diagnosis of coronary heart disease(CHD).Men tend to develop heart disease earlier in life than women. However, the biological explanations are more complex and seem unlikely to be due to androgen alone. In males, testosterone combination with estradiol could reduce the progression of athero sclerosis. The purposes of the study ale to determine the best physiological testosterone/estradiol ratio(T/E balance point),and then to further investigate the effect of imbalance of T/E ratio in men with CHD on the serum lipids, blood glucose, inflammatory factors and uric acid.
