Genetic Regulatory Variants in Mental Illness

AEI analysis is a powerful tool of discovering cis-acting regulatory variants in candidate genes. Ourstudy of TPH2 provides a general model for discovering and analyzin-g the significance of regulatoryelements in candidate mental illness genes. Future studies will focus on identifying commonregulatory variants in genes linked to menta-l disorders，especially genes within CNVs that associatewith autism or schizophreni-a.
