The Group Study of ELID Precision Surface Grinding Special Grinding Wheel

According to the difference of performance of the physics,chemistry and machine mechanism,the hard grinding material can be divided into hard-brittle material, plasticity material and composite material. At the same time,on the basis of the different principle and characteristics of the three kinds of materials,considering the characteristic of electrolytic dressing,the no-pressure grinding and impact polishing of the passive film on surface of grinding wheel in precision grinding and smooth grinding period and the function mechanism of metal bond in grinding,on the base of the existent metal bonded grinding wheel,and did lots of analysis experiment,according to the type of material to be machined and the grinding state and effect of grinding wheel, the group study on ELID special metal bonded super-hard grit grinding wheel has been carried out. The three kinds of ELID grinding wheels (BJUTL-YC1, BJUTL-SX1 and BJUTL-FH1) had been developed. These are fit for the each grinding characteristic of hard-brittle material, plasticity material and composite material. The experiment of ELID precision mirror surface grinding to the three representative material of carbide, tool steel and steel-bonded carbide had been conducted. The surface roughness of work piece can reach Ra 0. 003~0. 005um.
