RENEWABLE ENERGY POLICY IN BUILDING SECTOR: CASE STUDY FOR THE GREEK ISLAND OF CRETE

Renewable energy sources (RES) and Rational use of energy (RUE) have been supported in Greece in the last decades. With respect to building sector, this paper discusses the future development of energy efficiency systems on the Greek island of Crete. Simulation runs using a new simulation computer model (INVERT) have been carried out up to 2020 and the results are presented and analysed.
