A NEW WATER SOURCED HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT PUMP FOR CENTRAL HEATING
This paper presents a new Quantum water-sourced high temperature heat pumps for central heating. In an oilfield in North China, the water is conventionally heated by oil boiler. The running cost and the maintenance cost of the oil boiler are rather high, and the burning of the oil also contributes heavy pollution to the environment. It is required to use an economic and clean technology to heat the water to 80~C for the heating system. These requirements were raised to Quantum Energy Technologies, the heat pump hot water specialist. Quantum thus developed a water-sourced high temperature heat pump system with the 15HP scroll compressors, the largest one available at that time. After the first year”s successful application in heating a 37,000m2 community,and the availability of the 25HP compressor, a larger and better heat pump system using the 25HP compressors was developed. These two machines have been used in quite a few projects for several years, and are proven to be very reliable and efficient.
