Control Effect of A New Herbicide Flucetosulfuron (Hanlesheng) on Paddy Weeds in China
LGC-42153 is a new sulfonylurea herbicide developed by LG Life Sciences Ltd., Korea. This herbicide can be used to control the weeds in both direct seeded and transplanting rice fields. Since 2002, the herbicide has been introduced to China to be evaluated for soil and foliar application. The results showed that it could provide excellent control above 90％ to barnyardgrass (Echinochloa spp.), broadleaf and sedge weeds at recommendation rates of 25 to 40 g a.I./ha in rice field. It was especially effective to old barnyardgrass seedlings with more than seven leaves. And it was safe to rice and the successive crops in field trials.
