The Association of OLR1 Gene with Milk and Health Traits In Israeli Holstein Population
In this study, three SNPs in OLR1 gene with milk and health traits were analyzed in Israeli population. The results showed that the frequencies of g.9425T, g.9426A and g.l0497C were 0.783, 0.641 and 0.578, respectively. The three SNPs were analyzed with milk production and health traits separately. SNP9425 and SNP942 6 had no significant association with any traits, while SNP10497 was significant with protein percentage and SCC in this population (PO.05). This result was not consistent with the previous studies that had shown significant association with fat yield and fat percentage traits.
