Study on the Producing Characteristics of Low Permeability Non-homogeneous Reservoirs

The study on low permeability reservoir suggests that the fluid flow through the porous media, the threshold pressure gradient exist. However, the seepage equation is educed by considering the threshold pressure gradient as a constant. For the actual heterogeneous reservoirs, this method is not available for the actual reservoirs. In this paper, we use the experimental approach to regress the co-relational equation of the threshold pressure gradient and the permeability; and the threshold pressure gradient distribution can be concluded from this equation. Moreover, this paper establishes a three-dimension three-phase percolation mathematical model considering the threshold pressure gradient and obtains finite difference equations by numerical dispersing. In this model, the threshold pressure gradient of each grid is different from each other and is determined by the initialization parameter field. At last, simulation program is developed using the Fortran 90 language. Results achieved by the new model with considering the heterogeneity of threshold pressure gradients are quite different from which without considering the threshold pressure gradients or considering the threshold pressure gradient as constant (not equal zero).
