The China Sport Science Society-Its Role and Influence in the Development of Sport Science and Technology
The China Sport Science Society was founded in 1980 as a sport science organization of theacademic community that incorporates into one entity scholarship，the popularization of science,and public service. It is China”s oldest academic society for sport science，with the broadestscope of operations and the greatest social influence. The China Sport Science Society has underits umbrella 17 branch associations in the social science of sport，principles of sport training,sport medicine，sport biomechanics，sport psychology，fitness research，sport information，sportequipment，sport architecture，sport statistics，sport computers，school sport，sport history，wushu,sport management，sport industry，and sport media，as well as two editorial committees forjournals on sport science and sport medicine.
