Marine Finfish Aquaculture in China
Marine aquaculture，regarded as the fourth aquaculture revolution in China，is rapidly increased with its output almost 12 million tons with aquaculture area 1.6 million ha in 2003，which is 164％ and 186％ of those in 1906 respectively. Meanwhile，the marine finfish aquaculture is the most active component in marine aquaculture and increases nearly 3 folds compared the output in 2003 to that in 1996 while the area has no obvious extension，which represents a significantly improved aquaculture technique in this field. The 2.5-fold-increase in the yield per ha in marine finfish reflects this point.
