Introduction of SCGrid between SCCAS and SSC
In this paper, we will detailedly introduce the topology of the computational grid-the SCGrid in the project of grid computing in Supercomputing Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences(SCCAS). The SCGrid collects computation capabilities of ours center and the Shanghai Supercomputing Center(SSC). The SCGrid interconnection between these two supercomputing centers services the SCGrid users to conveniently use any kind of computation capabilities provided by the two supercomputing centers: including the computation intensive service, computation visualization service, data storage service and some special computation services, such as bioinfomatics computation. In addition to a short brief of the function modulars of middle ware of the SCGrid, we will centralize on the following topic: the matter involved in building the SCGrid between the two supercomputing centers which is composed of the function parts of a grid. Several interdisciplinary applications are in operation under the SCGrid.
