Computing Pressure Drop of Cyclone Operated at Various Dust Loading,Temperature and Pressure Conditions
In this paper,Pressure drop of cyclone under severe operating conditions has been numerically simulated on the platform of commercial computational fluid dynamics(CFD)software package,FLUENT 6.1.Changes of the cyclone pressure drop with operational temperature.pressure and dust Ioadings are numerially examined with a wide variety of magnitudes,and a pressure drop coefficient correlation.which includes cyclone’S structural and operational parameters,iS proposed.The comparison between the experimental data and calculations shows that present correlation formula iS more suitable for calculating the pressure drop of cyclones operated at high temperature,high pressure and high dust loadings conditions.
