Chouette，An Open Tool for the Standardization of Multimodal Traveller Information in France and Europe
(0) There is a growing need for standardization of data for traveller information．The European TRIDENT specifications appear to be a good prospect forstandardization of data exchanges for public transport as well as for road information．The French standardization committee has thus developed an open sourcetool，called CHOUETTE，based on the TRIDENT specifications，to help localauthorities and public transport companies exchange their route and schedulingdata．This paves the way for efficient local and regional journey planners providing seamless door to door information for travellers．
