What type of inserting questions would you prefer in video lectures:the questions inserted before learning,after learning or continuously?

  Many researchers have focused on the effects of video lectures on learners' performance.And this study explored the impact of time inserting questions in video lectures on learners' learning satisfaction and performance.There were three types of inserting questions: the questions were inserted before learning the segments(pre-questions),after learning the segments(post-questions),and continuously presented(continued-questions).107 Chinese undergraduates were randomly assigned to view the video lecture and then completed a learning satisfaction questionnaire and performance tests.The results revealed that learners viewing the video lecture with continued-questions performed better than those other two.In conclusion,what stands out in the study is that the continued-questions can be a valuable means to improve learners' performance in video lectures and the findings lead to some practical advice: a teacher had better to insert some questions throughout the whole learning process to promote your learners' performance.
