The Place of Integrated Curriculum in the New Story of Education
This paper explores the topic of integrated curriculum using the Story Model.The Story Model is a transdisciplinary curriculum model that can be used to explore any issue or problem.Applying this framework to the implementation of curriculum,this paper explores different frames of reference from personal to global.The present-day context of integrated curriculum is explored.The old story of education is examined to see how we got where we are today.Values are an important part of this examination.Finally,this paper takes a look at the emerging new story.If we choose to implement a transdisciplinary curriculum,what does it look like?
