An Empirical Analysis of Writing Errors of Non-English Majors Based on Error Analysis Theory
The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the writing characteristics of non-English majors,and draws relevant enlightenments which are of practical significance to help them improve their learning ability and reduce the possibility of making mistakes.Based on the theory of error analysis,this paper conducts an empirical study by using quantitative analysis,with 95 non-English majors in NPU as the subjects.The authors asked them to submit their compositions on Juku Correction Network and then collect those data for analyzing.The main conclusion to be drawn from this work is that 16 common errors are mainly caused by interlingual errors.
