The Edge Diffraction Effect on the Radiation Pattern of Elements for Antenna Array Synthesis
This paper analyzed the edge diffraction effect of elements for antenna array synthesis using equivalent edge current(EEC)theory.Based on Altair Feko,the current distribution on straight and circular substrates is analyzed.And it is shown that the difference between the radiation patterns of different elements can be reduced by the circular edge compared with the straight edge.Its effectiveness is illustrated by two examples.
