Experimental Research of CO2 Channeling Prevention in Low Permeability Oil Reservoir
CO2 flooding has obvious advantages in low-permeability reservoirs.First, the resistance to gas injection is less than the water injection.Second,CO2 can effectively increase the efficiency of oil displace-ment.However,CO2 flooding has its limitations. For example,CO2 emissions and gaps often occur in yield. For the problem of CO2 displacement in low-permeability oil reservoirs,an plugging agent can be selected to inject into the formation to prevent gas emission pollution. It is proposed that lime water be used as plugging agent. This article adopts a combination of literature research and experimental research. It focuses on the dissolution of calcium carbonate precipitated in the formation and the precipitation of CO2 in different conditions, and the effect of calcium carbonate on the sealing effect of the gas stratum. The results show that lime water has better control or delayed on CO2 gas channeling, which has a good effect on CO2 flooding.
