The Synthesis and Basic Properties of a New Double-headed Surfactant
A new double-headed surfactant sodium lauryl amine ethoxylate ether sulfonate(SLAES)was synthesized. After detailed characterizations, including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance(1 H-NMR),SLAES was successfully prepared according to the de-sign.To further investigate the properties of SLAES,cloudy points, thermal stability and surface activity are clarified. The results show that SLAES has no cloudy points due to the nonionic surfactants.SLAES has good thermal stability. The critical micellar concentration(CMC)is only 0.198 mmol/L,indicating the super surface activity of SLAES.This work is expected to enhance the basic understanding of a new surfactant.
