Study and Application of Nano-sized Wall Plugging Agent
Wellbore instability is a difficult problem in drilling engineering.In the sloughing formation,the plugging agent may be effective to improve the formation of wellbore stability,conducive to drilling car-ried out smoothly.A nano-particles with good plugging effect was developed in this paper,the preparation method and basic property were discussed.On the basis of this agent,the wall protective agent was stud-ied.The oil base drilling fluid and water-based drilling fluid systems with it were formed.In terms of per-formance evaluation and field test,it is proved that the wall protective agent has good plugging effect,ef-fective filling and plugging for the sloughing formations,especially for shale formation,which can effec-tively reduce clay hydration of formation and improve stability of borehole.
