Positron generation via ultra-intense laser-plasma interaction
By using two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulation,we demonstrate collimated dense positrons generation by irradiating an ultra-intense laser pulse onto a tapered hollow aluminium target.When the laser intensity is,substantial positrons()with an efficiency temperature of 963MeV and a divergence of~12° are obtained.Due to the special configuration of the plasma target,the divergence of the positrons is significantly decreased.
