A.G.Baumgarten's Aesthetica and Aesthetic Education
I tried 1)to discover some clues for a theory of aesthetic education in Baumgarten's theory of beauty and 2)to show its characteristics pertaining to the other agenda of aesthetic education in the age of Enlightenment.Baumgarten's Aesthetica provides felix aestheticus with rules of beauty to guide sensitive cognition into perfection.Accordingly,the study of aesthetics is needed for cultivating an innate aesthetician(aestheticus)to become a future beautiful mind.
